Wild Out West // New Brief

I now have a new brief to focus on.

Two friends of mine are heading to Gambia in Africa to do some volunteer work and help out in a community.  They are holding a two day fundraiser in the form of a festival in the Summer and have asked me and a few friends to produce some decor for the event.  This is something I am happy to do in my free time.  They have also asked me to design them some wristbands for the event which I thought could be a perfect new brief for me to focus on, something to work on by myself in my own time when I'm not working on my collaborations.

This is a perfect opportunity for me, as many of people know, I am a music festival fanatic and love to work within this realm.

The Brief

Design the wristbands to be distributed to attendees of the Wild Out West Festival in Cumbria in July.  The Music Festival will showcase local emerging musical talent as well as emerging visual artists.  Bear in mind the event is a Charity Fundraiser to aid a trip to Gambia for volunteer work.  The event is quite small and will cater for around 150 - 200 people.

Considerations

Consider the size and format of the design.  The design is limited to a small space - so use it wisely.
Look up wristband printers online to find the best deal.

Research

Look at existing wristband designs to see what they feature
Research into patterns and colours from Gambian Culture
Research into styles of design for the style of music

Final Outcome

200 paper/fabric wristbands
Design Boards
Documentation of research & development on blog
