Cheltenham // Amsterdam // Postcard & Illustration Development

Experimenting with vectoring the illustration.  When choosing the colour, because colour isn't a big part of the design, I wasn't sure where to start.  Eventually I chose green because of their more "green" culture, e.g. cleaner transport systems and lot of recycling points and big green parks dotted all over the city.

Disregarding the colour theory a bit here, but this one looks more aesthetically pleasing, the composition also works better.

As I am really happy with the film photography I did in Amsterdam and think the photo's portray Amsterdam Culture quite well, I decided to manipulate them alongside the illustrations to create some postcard designs.

I don't think I can actually use this image, as I didn't take it and I am in the photograph!  Still good to experiment with composition and colour.

Feedback from peers suggested that the white illustration over lay looks better than the black.
