Wild Out West // Evaluation

Evaluation:

Festivals is a strong interest of mine and I will jump at the chance of getting any festival oriented work.  That’s why I was really happy when I was asked to design the wristbands for this event.  The t-shirt design is just a step further which I would like to take in order help raise money for the volunteers of to Gambia.  I initially experimented with a few different idea’s, mostly stemming from music and speakers.  Eventually I decided to look at African Pattern Designs and was instantly inspired.  The clients were also very happy with this idea, so I pushed on with it.  Before sending the wristband design off to print, I verified the design with the clients and they were extremely happy with the design.  Before sending off to print I also did quite a bit of research into finding the best possible price for the wristbands as we wanted to keep the cost to a minimum.  I would have liked to have screen printed the t-shirts and finished the other deliverables (road signage to help people find the event) before the submission, but as screen printing is quite time consuming I have decided to leave this until after the submission, as the event is until July so this gives me plenty of time.  If there was more money in the kitty, it would have been good to order fabric wristbands or at least colour printed tyvek wristbands.
