Portfolio Surgery // Feedback

Today I had my portfolio surgery with Andy Lodge and got some good feedback, I now know how to tackle preparing my portfolio boards.

Feedback Received:
  • Keep text to a minimum, make sure the viewer knows exactly what each project is about without them having to read laborious amounts of text.
  • Consider applying branding (or a part of branding - eg. elephant) to the boards, to tie all the boards together and make the work recognisable as my own.
  • Think about the pace of the viewer, don't have projects next to each other that are too similar.
  • Use InDesign to create boards, use master pages to apply branding and use a grid.
On current design boards, tidy up the text.
